iMotion Gallery is a one-stop-shop for royalty free music downloads which include a music cue sheets for filing with PRS and ASCAP etc. The downloads are broadcast quality which makes them suitable for use by students and professional alike. I'll be creating new music downloads on a regular basis, so keep an eye on these pages for new material. Composing for film & TV

Music Editing

Music connects human emotion with what they are viewing on a screen and needs to be appropriate to the message you want to get across.

Careful structuring and placing of music is important in order to achieve this. I have worked with some key players within the world of film and TV. I can adapt or remix original music to fit in with a particular time sequence or to enhance feel or mood and provide temp scores to assess the effect of different music styles on your project.

These downloadable music files come in three different formats. BWAV at 48kHz for professional use as well as MP3 at 44.1 kHz for web use. The other format is the "Music Editors Toolkit" which is again at 48kHz. This not only contains the full mix of the music cue but also various stereo music stems that the editor can mix according to their needs.
For Instance: many times I've been asked by dubbing mixers if "lead" instruments can be placed on separate tracks so that they can mix dialogue and music together more effectively. So instead of having to fade down the entire music cue to clear a line of dialogue or FX all they have to do is fade the "lead Instrument" track, leaving the music bed intact but digging enough of a "hole" to allow the dialogue/FX to poke through.
Also supplied in the toolkit is a click track that runs the entire length of the cue. This acts as a visual aid for the video editor and helps them find good edit points in the music track. Click Here to see further information on the "Music Editors Toolkits"

Usage... Important information!

Personal / Student Use

This is for student film projects, personal DVD showreels, wedding DVD's etc. As long as your not going to broadcast it or use it for internet use in any way, then your free to use any available format you wish for your project at a nominal cost. The "Music Editors Toolkits" are available for professional use only.

Web / Corporate Use

This is for use in web based video presentations, YouTube, Vimeo etc. online Showreels or corporate films etc. you'll need to fill in the supplied "Music Cue sheet" and email it back to
license@imotiongallery.com

Once this is done you're free to use the music cue as many times as you like in a single web or corporate production. The sync rights are "in perpetuity" for that project from then on. Click Here for guidance on completing the cue sheet.

TV / Radio / Broadcast Use

The granting of a broadcast license is dependent on your production company filling in the supplied "Music Cue Sheet" and emailing it back to
license@imotiongallery.com

Once this is done your free to use the music cue as many times as you like in a single production. The sync rights are "in perpetuity" for that production from then on.
